Prologue

Name: 相原 美雪 (Aihara Mizuki) Class: 1-A Date: March 22, 2000 “What do you think it means to truly understand someone?”

I don’t think it’s possible for people to completely understand each other.

Even if someone speaks honestly, there’s always something they can’t truly explain. Sometimes, they themselves don’t understand why they feel a certain way. Therefore, regardless of how close people can get, there will always be distance.

However, I don’t think understanding someone only pertains to knowing everything about them. No. I think it’s more related to noticing the things they don’t say.

Because I think people reveal themselves most through the things they try to hide.

Truly understanding someone means continuing to notice those small things even when nobody else does.

That’s what I personally believe.
